I help farmers, not-for-profit organisations, small businesses and researchers go from a blank page to a great idea. From a great idea to an achievable project plan. From a project plan to something the right audience hears about. And from a successful project to the next stage for your organisation.
I have a background in communications, food systems research, and not-for-profit leadership, all of which has given me a diverse range of skills that I love using to help others in the food system dream and thrive.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) and a Master of Environment (with distinction) both from the University of Melbourne. I’m a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Groupworks Facilitation course, and Leadership Victoria’s program for start-up founders.
I have worked as an award-winning researcher at the Food Alliance at Deakin University (now Sustain), the Victorian Eco-Innovation Lab and Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute at the University of Melbourne.
As a journalist I have written for the Age, Dumbo Feather, Australian Teacher Magazine and more.
I have worked on communications strategies, websites or copywriting for CERES, Social Enterprise Finance Australia, the Gardiner Foundation, Open Food Network, Foodprint Melbourne, Harcourt Organic Farming Coop and more.
I was an Executive Director of Open Food Network for a number of years, leading the organisation through an exciting growth period after co-founding our social enterprise consultancy.
I have delivered research and action food systems projects for Sustainability Victoria, the City of Melbourne, the City Whittlesea, Agriculture Victoria, the Merri-bek City Council, Hepburn Shire Council, the University of Melbourne, and more. I have also worked with individual researchers, farmers and small food enterprises on strategies and communications.
Whether you’re an individual or a national organisation, I’m equally excited to work alongside you.
Curious about whether I can help?
